Research
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has been recognized by Anna University, Chennai as approved research centre for Ph.D / MS (by Research) with effect from May 2009. The faculty members and students are encouraged to publish papers in both National and International Conferences in major research areas,thus promoting technical knowledge.
The Department has bagged the AICTE funded project titled “Artificial Intelligent based Tsunami Alert System”. The Sanctioned amount for the project is Rs.4,02,500/ and it was completed in February 2011. The Department also received a grant of Rs 13,00,000 from AICTE under the MODROBS scheme for the project titled "Modernization Of Advanced Communication Laboratory".
