Mr. AVJ Nithishvardan and Mr. S. Sudharsan, Second Year Automobile Engineering Students presented a technical paper titled "Secondary Tire Inflation system for blown out tire" in the International Conference on Technological advancements in Materials design, Manufacturing and Energy sectors (ICTAMDMES '20) at St. Joseph College of Engineering, Chennai on February 21 2020 under the guidance of Dr. S. Premnath, Associate Professor.
A project titled Advance driver Interface by Mr G Charan, Mr R Venkateshwaran, Mr A Ezhilarasan from Final Year guided by Mr. A. K. Boobalasenthilraj, AP/AE received intramural funding for the Academic Year 2019-2020 of Rs.10000/-

Mr. Nithesh R. B of second year Automobile Engineering has got second place and won Rs. 2000 of cash price in the event "How stuff works", organized by Kurukshetra 2020, CEG, Anna University, on 12th to 16th February 2020.
PALS Quest Quiz Competition Finals held on 05th March, 2020 at IIT Madras, Sardar Patel Road, Chennai 600036. SVCE, KCG, SRM VIT, MEPCO, NANDA, SONA, RVSET, SSIET are the colleges entered the final and SVCE have won the 2nd Prize and Cash prize of Rs 15000.

Extra-curricular
Our college team "TRAXION OFFROADING" consisting of 15 Automobile and 10 Mechanical Engineering students participated in the BAJA SAEINDIA 2020 VIRTUAL EVENT which is a preliminary event for BAJA SAEINDIA 2021. The Virtual Baja event was conducted online on 12.12.2020. Our team has secured the overall 33rd Rank out of 130 teams in the first level of competitions.
Our college team "TRAXION OFF-ROADING" consisting of 15 Automobile and 10 Mechanical Engineering students, guided by Dr. V. Ganesh Associate Professor, and Mr. A. K. Boobalasenthilraj Assistant Professor, participated in National level SAEINDIA BAJA 2020, technical event held at Chitkara University, Rajpura, Punjab from March 05 to March 09 2020. Team TRAXION OFF-ROADING reached an overall position of 20 out of 82 shortlisted teams and 5th in Tamil Nadu. Further, our college was ranked 4th in the 'Sales Presentation'
The team TRAXION RACING, consisting of 14 Automobile Engineering & 7 Mechanical Engineering students have participated FORMULA BHARATH 2020, guided by Mr. R. Sakthivel Assistant Professor of Automobile Engineering, secured the overall 29th Rank out of 72 teams shortlisted among 150 teams in the first level of competitions held at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu from 22.01.2020 to 26.01.2020.
"TEAM TYRANTS" comprising of 25 Automobile Engineering students have participated in Formula Kart Design Challenge (FKDC) 2019 held at Kari Motors Speedway, Coimbatore, between 29.09.19 and 03.10.19.The students participated the event for the first time and secured 17th rank
"TEAM TYRANTS" comprising of 23 Automobile Engineering students have participated in Formula Kart Design Challenge (GKDC) 2020 held at Kari Motors Speedway, Coimbatore, between 10.02.2020 and 14.02.2020.The students participated the event for the second time and secured 16th rank.
