Initiatives in AY 2020-21

1. Report submitted and Grant Received:

Post Programme Report (PPR) along with utilization certificate and audited statement of expenditure for the program conducted under Women Entrepreneurship Development Program -DST scheme in FY 2020-21 was submitted to DST, Govt of India. The total grant received was Rs.10,000.

2. Proposal Submission:

Proposal submitted for the Implementation of Design Clinic Scheme for Design Expertise to MSME sector under national Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme. Proposal Submitted for Promoting Incubation under DST I -TBI Scheme

3. Value added Course:

EDII, Govt. of Tamil Nadu has approved SVCE to introduce the 2nd value added course in the title, "Advanced course on Entrepreneurship". 13 students, who have successfully completed the VC18005 Basics of Entrepreneurship, came forward to register this course to study in the odd semester of AY2020-21.

VC18005 Basic of Entrepreneurship: Information was circulated among all department students for 3rd batch admission (July-Dec 2021). Students have registered to study this course in the odd semester of AY 2021-2022.

4. Funding Received

Women Entrepreneurship Development Program:

SVCE-EPIC have received a sanction order from Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India for conducting of Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme (WEDP) during FY 2020-21 through online mode. Sanctioned amount for conducting the program is Rs 1,00,000.

Pre incubation training also arranged in the respective student branch industry.
12 Aavin Milk Parlour (Entrepreneurial Training Center) April, 2017-May 2018 Parlour was running smoothly by 4th batch of students. Based on this entrepreneurial experience, one of the student entrepreneur placed in the leading software company Accenture.
EPIC is in the process of identifying 5th batch of student.

5 Financial support from Alumni for developing students‘ innovative project 15.08.2017 During the Meeting of SVCE Alumni Association, Dr.S.Ilaiyavel and Mr.V.Senthil Velan requested the alumni to support students for incubation.

3 Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Program (IEDP) 21.09.2016 EDI, Govt. of Tamilnadu invited proposals from academic institutions for offering LearnWise Online Course,“Orientation Programme on Entrepreneurship”for the students.
Submitted a proposal. SVCE has been attached with Anna University, Chennai to implement this scheme.
Four faculty and Five students were trained by EDI to implement this scheme.
This course was inaugurated on 9th Feb, 2017. Around 25 students are appearing for online exams in May/June, 2017. They will get certificate.
4 Pradhan Mantri Yuva Yojana (Formerly known as UDAYAMITA) Application No. — PMYP0055 26.9.2016 Scheme of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India implemented by The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Noida for entrepreneurship education and training to students.
A proposal was submitted to NIESBUD, Noida. SVCE has been empaneled in the selection list on 23.11.2016. Submitted required documents on 4th May, 2017.
Course will be commenced on receipt of consent.
5 NewGen IEDC 13.01.2017 DST, New Delhi giving financial assistance for developing & commercialising the students‘ innovative project through EDII, Ahmedabad.
SVCE has been shortlisted and called for a presentation.
Dr.S.Ilaiyavel &Mr.Senthilvelan Went to EDII, Ahmedabad on 15.03.2017 for presentation. Result yet to be announced.
