Objectives of the Anti-Drug Club
1.Ensure a Drug/Substance-Free Campus: Raise awareness and prevent the use of drugs and alcohol among students.
2.Promote Anti-Drug Activities: Educate students about the adverse effects of substance abuse and involve them in various awareness activities.
3.Encourage Volunteerism: Motivate students to take up lifelong commitments to support anti-drug initiatives and community wellness.
4.Monitor Campus Safety: Ensure that no drugs, alcohol, or illegal substances are being sold or distributed within the college premises.
5.Prevent Addiction: Educate and guide students, especially those who may have started experimenting with substances, to stop before addiction develops.
Key Activities of the Anti-Drug Club
do Organize seminars, webinars, and talks by professionals (doctors, addiction counselors, etc.) to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drugs. Use students' technical skills to create innovative campaigns, including posters, social media awareness, and online educational resources, to reach a broader audience.
Conduct workshops focusing on the scientific and health-related consequences of drug use. Invite professionals from the healthcare industry, former addicts, and mental health counselors to share real-life experiences and recovery journeys.
Offer peer counseling through trained student volunteers, giving support and guidance to peers struggling with substance abuse. Collaborate with college counselors to provide professional help and nt connect students with addiction recovery resources if needed.
Host technical and creative events such as poster design, hackathons, and debates on topics related to drug prevention, using technology and innovation as a tool for awareness. Encourage student-led projects (e.g., apps or websites) aimed at preventing drug use or helping in addiction recovery.
